Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 24, 2026
userp.ly ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Information We Collect
We collect minimal data necessary to provide the service:
- URLs you analyze — The web page URLs you submit for analysis. These may be stored in our Community Archive to power aggregate statistics and trending domain features.
- Analysis results — Metadata extracted from analyzed pages (title tags, meta descriptions, detected dates, SEO scores). This data is anonymous and not linked to your identity.
- Device identifier — A randomly generated anonymous ID stored on your device to track daily usage limits and subscription status. This is not linked to your name, email, or any personal information.
- Subscription data — If you purchase Pro Monthly or Pro Lifetime, your payment is processed by Stripe. We receive only your subscription or license status. We never see or store your payment card details.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Your name, email address, or contact information
- Your location
- Your browsing history beyond URLs you explicitly submit for analysis
- Payment card details (handled entirely by Stripe)
- Any data from your device beyond what is described above
How We Use Your Information
- To analyze web pages and return metadata results to you
- To enforce daily usage limits for free tier users
- To verify your subscription status and unlock Pro features
- To power the Community Archive with anonymized, aggregate analysis data
- To improve the accuracy of our date detection and freshness scoring
Community Archive
When you analyze a URL, the result may be contributed anonymously to our Community Archive — a shared database of web page freshness data. No personal information is included. You are identified only by an anonymous device ID. Contributed data includes the URL analyzed, the page title, detected dates, and freshness score.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the service:
- Stripe — for payment processing and subscription/license management
- Our hosting provider — for infrastructure (data processed in accordance with their privacy policies)
Data Retention
Local extension data is stored in your browser and is removed when you uninstall the extension or clear browser storage. Aggregate, anonymized analysis data may be retained indefinitely to improve date detection accuracy, but contains no personal information.
Children's Privacy
userp.ly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your Rights
Since we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. Your local extension data can be removed by uninstalling the extension. If you have other questions, contact us below.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
